Natalie was born in Detroit and is a graduate of Michigan State University. She and her husband Bob, a retired Ford Motor Company engineer, live in Canton, Michigan. They have two grown sons.
Natalie Mosher will bring a decade of experience as a public school teacher with her to Congress. In her early days as a teacher, Natalie created a joint summer school program that connected her suburban students with their counterparts in the inner city. As a Congresswoman, Natalie will be a tireless advocate for improving education at every level, from pre-K through college.
While serving as director of her county's American Cancer Society organization, Natalie saw that poor neighborhoods the county suffered from particularly high cancer rates due to contaminated well-water. Natalie went door-to-door in these communities, collecting household data to prove that the areas qualified for assistance to bring in safe drinking water. Bringing together city, county, and state government, Natalie brokered a tri-party agreement which brought in fresh, clean drinking water to the area. She wants to take this pragmatic approach to problem-solving approach to Congress.
Natalie has served as Director of the National Retiree Volunteer Coalition, a Volunteers of America program. She has also served as Chief Development Officer of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, securing $10 million to build parks and green spaces along Detroit's riverfront.
